Ogun Mobile Court Convicts 20 Drivers for Traffic Violations

In Ogun State, a mobile court presided over by Chief Magistrate O.T. Odusanya convicted 20 drivers for various traffic violations during the second phase of operations conducted by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The enforcement operation focused on critical safety violations, including breaches of speed limit devices, overloading, failure to use seatbelts, and issues related to drivers' licenses and vehicle documentation. A total of 40 offenses were documented, with 39 attracting various fines, while none resulted in imprisonment.

Sector Command Akinwunmi Fasakin emphasized that the mobile court sessions are part of the command's sustained enforcement strategy to enhance visibility and ensure strict compliance with traffic regulations, aiming to reduce road traffic crashes across the state. The exercise received adequate support from relevant security agencies, and motorists were urged to prioritize safe driving practices to prevent injuries and fatalities.
