Ogun State Renames Highway After President Tinubu

The Ogun State Executive Council has officially renamed the Sagamu-Iperu-Sapade Expressway to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Expressway to honor President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This decision follows an earlier announcement regarding the renaming of the Arteri Bypass near the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport project last Saturday.

Additionally, the council recognized the contributions of the late Oba Adelek Idowu Basibo to the community. In a related development, the council approved the procurement of 50 electric transformers to improve power supply across the state as part of the Light Ogun Project.

Furthermore, the council sanctioned the purchase of 20 Suzuki Grand Vitara and 12 Toyota Fortuner vehicles to support administrative operations for public officials. Other decisions included the appointment of traditional leadership across various communities, with the council ratifying the appointment of Prince Adeyemi Ibikunle in Odeda Local Government Area and Chief Yaya Oriyomi in Ikenne Local Government Area.
