Ogun Revenue Agency Hails Dangote Cement Ibese for Exemplary Tax Compliance

The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has praised Dangote Cement Ibese Plant for its exceptional tax compliance during a familiarization tour of the 12 million metric tonne per annum cement plant. The OGIRS Director of Field Operations, Oluwaseun Olajube, commended the company for its financial transparency and corporate responsibility, setting a benchmark for others to follow.

The Director of Dangote Cement Ibese Plant, Ayyagari Subbaraidu, expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the importance of private sector collaboration in driving sustainable growth. The visit marked a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between the company and the government to boost revenue generation and sustainable development in Ogun State.

This commendation comes after Aliko Dangote, the President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, disclosed that the group paid billions in tax in 2024, making it the country's highest taxpayer. The group has also received multiple awards for its excellence.
