Ogun RTIFN Coordinator Supports State Police Bill

Bestman Opeyemi, the Ogun State coordinator for the Renewed Hope Initiative for Nigeria (RTIFN), expressed strong support for President Bola Tinubu, commending his dedication to Nigeria's peace, progress, and development. In a statement made on Monday, Opeyemi reiterated the urgent need for the establishment of state police as a bold intervention to address the worsening security challenges in the country.

He emphasized that decentralizing police forces would strengthen intelligence gathering at the grassroots level, thereby curbing insecurity and creating employment opportunities for the youth across the state. Opeyemi called on the National Assembly to fast-track the legislative process for the state police bill, stressing that any delays could further expose communities to security risks.

He advocated for the swift passage of a state police framework to enhance national stability and restore public confidence in the security governance of Nigeria.
