Ogun Students Condemn Smugglers' Violent Attacks on Customs Officers

Ogun students have strongly condemned the recent attacks on customs officers by smugglers in the state. The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) expressed dismay over the increasing violence, emphasizing that such attacks are unacceptable.

The incidents involved hoodlums suspected to be smugglers ambushing customs personnel during routine anti-smuggling patrols. The smugglers, armed with dangerous weapons, launched coordinated attacks to overwhelm the customs team.

Despite the ambush, the customs officers displayed bravery and repelled the attacks, recovering seized items and making arrests. NAOSS commended the customs officers for their gallantry and dedication to duty, urging authorities to ensure justice is served and to provide necessary support for the officers.

The statement also reiterated NAOSS's unwavering support for the customs command in their fight against smuggling and economic sabotage.
