Ogun SUBEB Inducts 104 New Headteachers for Quality Education

On Tuesday, the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) inducted 104 newly appointed headteachers to address existing vacancies in public primary schools across 20 local government areas. The induction ceremony, held at the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) hall in Kuto, Abeokuta, was led by SUBEB Chairman Evangelist Olalekan Ifed.

He urged the new headteachers to remain dedicated to advancing the quality of education at the grassroots level. Ifed highlighted that the appointment of these headteachers reflects the government's confidence in their professional competence and commitment to effective leadership in public primary schools.

He emphasized that the quality of leadership will directly influence teaching and learning standards. Hon Akeem Balogun, a board member, encouraged the inductees to innovate in school administration, while Mr.

Femi Fatad, Director of Administration and Supplies, called for greater responsibility in shaping the future of learners. The event also featured insights from guest speaker Mr.

Olubori Akinley, who stressed the importance of maintaining positive relationships within the school environment.
