Ogun State Warns AIG Against Interfering in Land Case

The Ogun State Government issued a warning to Enyinnaya Adiogu, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, against interfering in an ongoing land grabbing prosecution involving the World Mission Agency (WMA) and its owner, Ibrahim Gbenga Ibuoy. In a letter dated May 23, Attorney General Oluwasina Ogungbad instructed Adiogu to cease any parallel investigations into allegations of criminal conspiracy and threats against the WMA.

The case is currently pending in a magistrate court in Abeokuta, where Ibuoy faces prosecution for allegedly using threats and violence to unlawfully occupy 100 acres of land owned by WMA. Ogungbad stated that the matter is already before the court, and any parallel police investigation could undermine judicial proceedings.

He questioned why Ibuoy, who is already on trial, would suddenly complain about the ongoing criminal matter. The Ogun State Government has directed police officials to terminate any parallel investigations related to this dispute.
