Ogun Women Receive N35m Grant, Support Tinubu's Re-election

On March 8, 2023, during a special celebration for International Women's Day at Ojud Oba Pavilion in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State's Commission for Women Affairs and Social Development, led by Mr. Adijat Adeley, announced the disbursement of a N35 million cash grant aimed at strengthening women's livelihoods across the state.

A total of 50 women received N200,000 each, while 500 beneficiaries received N50,000 each. The event was attended by notable figures, including the wife of the state governor, Mr.

Dapo Abiodun, and Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedun. During the celebration, women expressed their support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun's candidacy for the Ogun East senatorial seat in 2027.

Adeley highlighted the importance of women's contributions to societal development over the past five decades and urged increased female representation in governance. The event also paid tribute to influential women in Ogun State's history.
