Oil prices increase after Ukraine attacks on Russian power plant

The attack on the reactor at Russia's largest nuclear power plant, causing a massive blaze, and a fire at a fuel export terminal in the Leningrad region, raised concerns about geopolitical risks. The Kursk facility supplies electricity to 19 regions in the Central Federal District.

Russian officials confirmed the incidents, attributing them to the drone attack. These developments have contributed to the rise in oil prices, as investors react to the heightened tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
