Okereke-Onyuike Celebrates Dr. Ahimi's Historic CIS Election

Prof. Ndi Okereke-Onyuike, former Director General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, commended the election of Dr.

Fiona Ahimi as the first female President of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), describing it as a historic breakthrough for gender inclusion in Nigeria's capital market. Okereke-Onyuike made these remarks during a courtesy visit from a high-powered delegation of the CIS, which included immediate past president Oluropo Dada and other key officials, ahead of Ahimi's inauguration scheduled for June 25, 2026.

She expressed delight at Ahimi's election, noting its significance as a defining moment in the 30-year history of the institute and a milestone for women in the financial services sector. Okereke-Onyuike urged the incoming president to leverage this opportunity to build on the foundation laid by her predecessors and to inspire younger female professionals in the industry.
