Okpebholo Promises Quick Completion of 83 Division Facilities

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo assured that the temporary facility for the 83 Division of the Nigerian Army will be completed within two weeks. This announcement came during his inspection of the rehabilitation and development work at the facility located in Teboga, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area on a Monday in Benin.

The establishment of the 83 Division, along with three others, was approved by President Bola Tinubu. Okpebholo stated that work is already underway, including environmental sanitation and the rehabilitation of existing structures.

He mentioned that the contractor would deploy more bulldozers to accelerate progress. The governor expressed confidence that the barracks and other facilities would be ready as planned, and alternative temporary office spaces are available if needed.

Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Balogun, commander of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, confirmed that the visit was part of implementing Tinubu's directive for the division's operationalization and commended the governor for the progress made since the last visit.
