Olam Agri Launches Mama’s Pride Cholesterol-Free Soya Oil

Olam Agri launched Mama’s Pride, a cholesterol-free and nutrient-rich soya oil, at an event held on Wednesday. Kumar, the head of market at Olam Agri, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing authentic and healthy edible oil options in Nigeria.

Adeniji outlined key features of the product, which includes fortification with vitamins and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, alongside zero cholesterol content. The oil is designed for long-lasting frying performance and is available in various convenient sizes, including 500ml, 1L, 2L, 350ml, and 25L.

The launch follows Olam Agri's investment of $50 million in a state-of-the-art soybean crush plant and feed mill complex in Ilorin, Kwara State, which is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa with a processing capacity of 250,000 to 350,000 metric tons annually. This facility supports local soybean production and enhances the supply chain for Olam Agri’s feed mill and edible oil unit, Ruyat Oil.
