Olanipekun Calls for Support at Bamidele Olumilua University

Chief Wole Olanipekun, the Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology in Iker Ekiti, solicited support and partnerships from stakeholders during the university's second convocation ceremony held on Saturday. A total of 1,645 fresh graduates received degrees, including 60 first-class, 563 second-class upper division, 854 second-class lower division, and 163 third-class graduates.

Olanipekun urged stakeholders to support the university's growth, emphasizing that collaboration with government, private sectors, and individuals is essential for the institution to thrive rather than merely survive. He commended Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his commitment to education and appealed for the fulfillment of pledges regarding road construction within the university.

Prof. Dipo Aina, Chairman of the Governing Council, acknowledged the progress made but noted challenges, particularly in funding infrastructure expansion.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Omojola highlighted the university's rapid growth, while Governor Oyebanji's representative assured continued government support.
