NSC and Puma Strengthen Partnership for Team Nigeria

The National Sports Commission (NSC) and Puma are set to strengthen their long-term partnership following Team Nigeria's successful performance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. This announcement was made during a World Press Conference on July 29, 2026, by the NSC's Director-General, Hon.

Bukola Olopade, at the Team Nigeria Puma Afrobeat House in Glasgow. Olopade highlighted the positive experience with Puma as Team Nigeria's official kit sponsor, attributing the athletes' impressive pre-tournament preparations to this collaboration.

He stated that the NSC, under the leadership of Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko, aims to create a sustainable sports ecosystem as mandated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The DG expressed satisfaction with Team Nigeria's performance and emphasized the importance of athlete welfare and preparation for future competitions, particularly the Olympic Games.

Ayo Amusan, CEO of PRL, and Bastien De Toledo, Head of Team Sport at Puma, also expressed optimism about the partnership's future.
