Oluremi Tinubu to Preach at Lambeth Palace During UK Visit

Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, is scheduled to preach at Lambeth Palace in London on Thursday as part of the activities during her husband President Bola Tinubu's state visit to the United Kingdom. This visit is significant as it marks Nigeria's first state visit to the UK in nearly four decades.

The itinerary published by AFP indicates that the First Lady will also meet representatives from the Church of England during her visit. The primary focus of this state visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UK.

President Bola Tinubu arrived in London on Tuesday, landing at Stansted Airport, ahead of a series of formal meetings, including discussions with King Charles III, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, and civic engagements with the large Nigerian diaspora in the UK. Oluremi Tinubu, a devout Christian and ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has been actively involved in faith-based initiatives, particularly women's empowerment programs in Nigeria.
