Oluremi Tinubu to Empower 5,000 in Anambra Visit

On September 10, 2026, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will make her inaugural visit to Anambra State since taking office. This visit aims to enhance collaboration between the Federal Government and Anambra State in addressing poverty, economic empowerment, and food security.

A statement from Daniel Ezeigwe, Media Aide to Anambra's Governor Dr Nonye Soludo, revealed that a key feature of the visit will be the empowerment of 5,000 individuals through the “Progressives United Against Poverty Initiative,” which aligns with the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative Economic Support Scheme. Additionally, the National Community Food Bank Programme will be launched to bolster food security in the South-East Geopolitical Zone.

Senator Tinubu will also visit the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, to commission significant projects. This visit follows President Bola Tinubu's remarks on the partnership between the Federal Government and Anambra State during his visit on May 8, 2025.
