Omoni Oboli Dedicates Movie Proceeds to Alexx Ekubo's Family

Omoni Oboli announced that she will donate the entire proceeds from her movie "First Lady" to the family of the late actor Alexx Ekubo. This dedication comes as a tribute to Ekubo, who passed away at the age of 40 on May 11, 2026, after battling metastatic kidney cancer.

The film is available for viewing on Omoni Oboli TV's YouTube channel. In her announcement, Oboli expressed her gratitude to God for the success of the film and emphasized her commitment to honoring Ekubo's legacy.

She referred to Ekubo as a dear friend and stated that he will forever hold a place in her heart. The announcement followed a significant outpouring of sympathy from family, friends, and colleagues in the film industry after Ekubo's death, which drew notable figures from the entertainment and political sectors to his burial in Arochukwu, Abia State.
