Ondo APC Elders Seek Tinubu's Help Amid Party Division

Elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State have voiced their concerns regarding the divisions that emerged following the recent ward congress. The congress was reportedly disrupted by hoodlums, resulting in injuries to party members and the destruction of vehicles.

Raphael Adetimehin, the APC chairman, was a victim of a brutal attack attributed to political thugs. Despite these issues, the congress committee, led by Margaret Araruenu, declared the congress successful.

Dr. Ademola Ijabiyi, speaking at a monthly meeting of the APC Elder Forum in Akure, highlighted the dissatisfaction among party members and noted that a memo has been sent to President Bola Tinubu regarding the situation.

The elders expressed optimism that the President would address the matter to prevent further divisions within the party. Concerns were also raised about the lack of awareness among state-level party elders regarding the conflicts arising from the congress.
