Violence at APC Ward Congress in Ondo State Leaves Three Dead

On Wednesday, violence broke out at the APC ward congress in Idanre Local Government Area, Ondo State, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. Eyewitness accounts indicate that armed thugs, suspected to be loyal to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), invaded the congress venue, firing shots and setting vehicles belonging to party stalwarts ablaze.

The exact reasons for the violence remain unclear at the time of reporting. Additionally, on Tuesday, thugs also invaded the APC party secretariat in Ondo State during a pre-congress stakeholders meeting.

Eyewitness Yetund Adeyanju reported that the attackers were armed and posed a significant danger during the incidents, which led to multiple injuries and extensive property damage.
