Pro-Tinubu Group Warns APC of Declining Electoral Support

The Pro-Tinubu group, known as Grassroot Movement Tinubu (GMT), issued a statement expressing concern over the declining electoral fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State following the recent victory of Prof. Dayo Faduyile in the Ondo South Senatorial District election.

The group highlighted a significant drop in the party's total votes across six local government areas compared to the 2024 governorship elections, where APC garnered 126,196 votes. In contrast, the recent election saw a total of 68,474 votes, indicating a worrying trend that party leaders should not ignore.

GMT emphasized the need for the APC to embrace reconciliation and unity to renew grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 presidential elections. The group also urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intensify development efforts across the state, particularly focusing on ongoing projects initiated by previous administrations.

They commended President Bola Tinubu for ongoing federal projects in the state, which they believe will strengthen public confidence in the federal government.
