Ondo Deputy Governor Urges Inmates to Acquire Skills

On a visit to the Correctional Centre in Olokuta, Ondo State, on Friday, Dr. Olayide Adelami, the Deputy Governor of Ondo State and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Prison Fellowship Nigeria, urged inmates to acquire vocational skills to ensure a productive life post-incarceration. He emphasized the importance of using their time in prison for personal development and spiritual growth, encouraging them to seek a relationship with God.

Adelami highlighted the various skills acquisition programs available at the facility, stating that these skills would bridge the gap between their time in custody and reintegration into society. He also visited the juvenile section, advising young inmates to view their time in correctional facilities as an opportunity for reflection and transformation.

Olayinka Dada, the Officer-in-Charge of the Olokuta Medium Security Correctional Centre, praised Adelami and Prison Fellowship Nigeria for their ongoing support, acknowledging improvements in infrastructure and welfare under President Bola Tinubu's administration.
