Aiyedatiwa Denies ADC Allegiance, Affirms APC Commitment

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has dismissed reports linking him to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserting his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the 2027 general elections approach. This statement followed the emergence of photographs showing Aiyedatiwa with ADC’s Ondo Central Senatorial candidate, Senator Ayo Akinyelure, after a church service at the Government House Chapel in Akure.

Aiyedatiwa's Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, labeled the rumors as “false, misleading and deliberately mischievous,” accusing those behind them of attempting to create division within the APC. The governor explained that the Government House Chapel is a public worship space open to all, regardless of political affiliation, and that Akinyelure's visit was to express gratitude for Aiyedatiwa's goodwill message during his 70th birthday celebration.

Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and urged party members to disregard attempts to sow confusion, emphasizing that his administration remains focused on governance.
