Ondo REC Dr. Agbok Promises Credible Elections

Dr. Mutiu Agbok, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State, assured political parties and stakeholders of credible elections in the state.

During a formal visit to the Ondo Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) led by Comrade Leke Adegbit, he emphasized the need for transparency and open communication in the electoral process. Dr.

Agbok highlighted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is committed to conducting free and fair elections in line with the Electoral Act and the Constitution. He called on political actors to seek clarification through appropriate channels rather than spreading misinformation that could escalate political tensions.

Dr. Agbok expressed readiness to address any questions or concerns, reinforcing the importance of collaboration among political parties, security agencies, civil society organizations, and the media to achieve successful elections in Ondo State.
