Ondo Residents Protest After Traditional Ruler's Murder

Residents in Ondo State protested against the rising activities of bandits following the shooting death of traditional ruler Oba Kehind Falodun Alagamo. The incident occurred over the weekend, coinciding with the abduction of a couple, Mr.

Jamiu Olawal and his wife, who were attacked by unknown gunmen in front of their residence in Olaribigba Estate, Iluabo. The couple had just returned home in their ash-colored Toyota Camry when they were ambushed.

During the attack, a neighbor, Mr. Patrick Ilumaro, sustained gunshot wounds.

The incident, which took place around 9:45 PM on Friday, has raised significant concerns among residents about the increasing violence and insecurity in the Akur North Local Government Area, prompting them to block the Owo-Akur road in protest against the incessant killings and abductions in the area.
