Fatal Road Accident Claims One Life in Oyo State

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Oyo State confirmed a fatal road accident on Iwo Road, at the end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The accident involved four vehicles - a red Micra car, a white tanker truck, a commercial Toyota Hiace bus, and another unidentified vehicle.

The driver of one of the vehicles lost control due to brake failure, leading to a multiple-vehicle crash. A middle-aged woman died at the scene, while others with varying degrees of injuries received medical attention at nearby hospitals.

The Iwo-Ojoo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, particularly in Oyo State, has witnessed several accidents recently, often attributed to brake failures and loss of control, especially involving collisions between trucks and smaller cars.
