Clash in Ibadan: One Dead, Two Agbekoya Members Arrested

A violent clash in Ibadan resulted in the death of an okada rider and the arrest of two members of the Agbekoya militia group. The incident occurred late on a Saturday evening in the Olorunda Aba area, around 7 PM.

According to sources, the conflict erupted due to an alleged offense involving the okada rider and a member of the Agbekoya group. Following the altercation, the situation escalated, leading to the death of the okada rider, whose identity was reported as Awo.

The Oyo State Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the death and stated that investigations are ongoing. The police have arrested two members of the Agbekoya militia group in connection with the clash, and efforts are being made to maintain control of the situation.
