OOLI and UNILAG Launch Leadership Training for Students

The Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute (OOLI) partnered with the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to conduct a four-day intensive leadership training program themed "Leadership for the Future," specifically designed for newly elected student leaders. The program was described by Prof.

Elvi Otobo as deeply engaging and intellectually enriching, aimed at shaping a new generation of visionary, value-driven leaders. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the founder of OOLI, delivered a keynote lecture highlighting the role and values of leadership, presenting 55 attributes of a true leader.

He emphasized 15 core values essential for good leadership, including integrity, honesty, dependability, patriotism, and trustworthiness. The training featured a diverse lineup of facilitators from academia and civil society, covering topics such as mental health, finance, law, and business leadership.

The program included plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and practical tools for effective leadership. UNILAG's Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Folasade Ogunsola, acknowledged Obasanjo's contributions to leadership development in Nigeria.
