OOLI and UNILAG Launch Leadership Training for Students

The Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute (OOLI) partnered with the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to conduct a four-day intensive leadership training program for newly elected student leaders. The training, themed "Leadership for the Future," was designed to engage intellect and shape visionary, value-driven leaders.

Prof. Elvi Otobo described the program as deeply engaging and enriching.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the founder of OOLI, delivered a keynote lecture highlighting the role and values of leadership, presenting 55 attributes of a true leader. He emphasized 15 core values essential for good leadership, including integrity, honesty, dependability, and trustworthiness.

The training featured a lineup of facilitators from academia and civil society, covering topics such as mental health, finance, and business leadership. Prof.

Folasade Ogunsola, Vice Chancellor of UNILAG, expressed gratitude towards Obasanjo for his contributions to leadership development in Nigeria. The program also included sessions on emotional intelligence and financial stewardship, aiming to provide practical tools for effective leadership.
