Opposition Governors Support Tinubu for Political Survival

Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani remarked that the increasing support for President Bola Tinubu from opposition governors is motivated by political survival rather than ideological alignment. He specifically mentioned Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra, and Governor Alex Otti of Abia as key figures recalibrating their political stances towards Tinubu.

Sani made these comments on a current affairs program on Eagle 102.5 FM on Tuesday, emphasizing that these governors believe aligning with Tinubu is safer due to the lack of a credible alternative in the opposition. He noted that Soludo cannot align with Atiku Abubakar due to Atiku's weak support in Anambra, while aligning with Peter Obi would limit Soludo's influence to the South-East.
