Origin Tech Partners OAU to Boost Agricultural Excellence

Origin Tech Group Nigeria Limited entered into a partnership agreement with Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a Centre of Excellence in Agriculture. The signing ceremony took place on the university's campus in Ile-Ife.

Mr. Olusesan Ayeni, Executive Director of Corporate Services at Origin Tech Group, and Professor Adebayo Bamir, Vice Chancellor of OAU, emphasized the agreement's goal to create a robust agricultural corridor in Southwest Nigeria.

This initiative aims to leverage Origin Tech's expertise in agricultural business and OAU's research capabilities to enhance Nigeria's food system. The partnership is designed to provide exposure and opportunities for scholars and young minds in agricultural studies, ensuring the development of a skilled workforce.

Professor Bamir expressed optimism about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to transform agricultural productivity and contribute to food security and wealth creation in Nigeria.
