Oshiomhole Credits Wike for Reviving His Political Ambition

Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and current Senator representing Edo North, disclosed that Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, played a significant role in rekindling his political ambitions. This revelation occurred during a commissioning event in Benin City, where Oshiomhole highlighted the challenges faced by the APC, particularly after the party's defeat in the presidential elections.

He noted that during a difficult period, many people abandoned the APC, and even feared visiting Oshiomhole. He expressed gratitude towards Wike for inviting him to Port Harcourt for the commissioning of projects, stating that it rekindled hope for a political comeback.

Oshiomhole also advised Nigerians to be wary of emerging political parties that may deceive the populace, referencing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and criticizing the PDP's electoral failures in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He emphasized the need for the APC to demonstrate its electoral strength in upcoming local government elections.
