Victor Osimhen to Undergo Surgery, Out for Six Weeks

Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles forward, confirmed that he will undergo surgery due to a fractured right forearm sustained during Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool at Anfield. The injury occurred in the first half following a heavy challenge involving Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté, which left Osimhen in visible discomfort.

Medical examinations confirmed the fracture, and he disclosed the need for surgery during a livestream session with Nigerian social media influencer Carter Ef. Osimhen expects to be sidelined for a maximum of six weeks, with a rehabilitation process that includes four weeks of recovery followed by two weeks of training alone to gradually regain fitness before rejoining his team.

The 27-year-old will return to Nigeria for a short break before the surgery, and his return to football will depend on the progress of his rehabilitation following the procedure.
