O'Sullivan Faces Guoqiang He in Crucible Championship Opener

Ronnie O'Sullivan, a seven-time winner of the World Snooker Championship, is set to begin his quest for a record-breaking eighth title against China's debutant Guoqiang He. The match will take place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, starting on Tuesday and concluding on Wednesday.

O'Sullivan, who is currently ranked 50th in the world, qualified for the tournament after defeating England's Jack Lisowski. The event will feature a total of sixteen players, including the world's top 16 ranked players.

The first session of the tournament is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 BST. Other notable matches include world number one Judd Trump against Gary Wilson, and four-time champion John Higgins facing two-time runner-up Ali Carter.

The tournament will also see the participation of Mark Selby, Jak Jones, and several other players. O'Sullivan's first championship win was 25 years ago in 2001.
