Davido Urges Tinubu to Control APC Amid Election Disruption

On Saturday, Nigerian musician David Adeleke, known as Davido, called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and control members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following allegations of election disruption in Osun State. Davido's appeal came as sorting and announcement of election results were taking place.

He reported that APC thugs had invaded GOF junction in Osogbo, the state capital, with the intent to disrupt the results from Ward 4 and 5. In his post on X, Davido stated, “Mr President, call your people to order.

Osun APC thugs have invaded GOF junction, Osogbo to disrupt Ward 4 and 5 results.” He further accused the thugs of attempting to destroy ballot papers and boxes, urging Osogbo residents to resist any form of violence and to protect their votes. His statements reflect concerns over electoral integrity and public safety during the ongoing election process.
