Davido Claims APC Spent N110 Billion on Vote-Buying

During an interview on News Central Television, Afrobeats superstar Davido alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent N110 billion on vote-buying in the recent Osun State governorship election. He claimed that the Accord Party, whose candidate was his uncle Ademola Adeleke, did not spend any money during the election, instead relying on the support of the people of Osun State.

Davido expressed concern that if the APC had won, future elections would be dominated by money and violence. He mentioned having insider information about the cash flow during the election, stating, “If you saw the cash that these people brought in, if they had gotten away with that election, Nigeria is finished because the blueprint for elections will only be money and violence.” Ultimately, Ademola Adeleke won the election, defeating his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC.
