APC Allegedly Spent N60bn on Vote Buying in Osun

Adedeji Adeleke, the father of Afrobeats star David Adeleke, claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent approximately N60 billion on vote buying during the recent Osun governorship election. In a viral video, he reflected on the election outcome, where his brother, Ademola Adeleke, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with 511,067 votes against APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who received 444,815 votes.

Adedeji Adeleke stated that reports indicated voters were offered as much as N50,000 for their votes. He expressed that upon hearing about the money being spent, he retreated to pray for his brother’s victory, emphasizing that their success was not due to spending more money than the opposition.

He attributed his confidence to his faith in God, citing Isaiah 41:10, and mentioned that he prefers to rely on prayer rather than seeking influence from powerful individuals.
