ADC Congratulates Adeleke on Osun Re-election Victory

Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election in the Osun State governorship election held on August 15. Gombe described the victory as well-deserved and reflective of the people's will, reinforcing democratic values and constitutional governance.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its diligence in conducting a free, fair, and credible election, highlighting INEC's independence as an electoral umpire. However, Gombe noted that the ADC's poor performance in the election was due to the imposition of an unpopular candidate by members of a coalition group led by Senator David Mark.

He assured that the ADC is repositioning itself to present credible candidates for the 2027 general elections and congratulated the people of Osun State for exercising their democratic rights.
