Adebutu Claims Osun Election Shows APC's Decline

Oladipupo Adebutu, the Ogun State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 election, asserted that the results of the Osun governorship election demonstrate that Nigerians have lost faith in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In a congratulatory message to Ademola Adeleke, the re-elected Governor of Osun State, Adebutu highlighted that Adeleke's victory is a validation of the people's will and a reward for effective governance.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Prof Joshua Ogunwole, declared Adeleke the winner at approximately 7:24 am on Sunday, with a total of 511,067 votes, defeating Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, who received 444,815 votes. Adebutu's statement, signed by his media aide Afolabi Orekoya, praised Adeleke's governance as a beacon of hope and a clear indication that the people's will prevails over political deceit.
