APC Group Calls for Reforms After Osun Election Outcome

Agbi Stephen Omobamidele, the Deputy National Chairman of the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) South, stated that the outcome of the Osun governorship election serves as a wake-up call for the All Progressives Congress (APC). He emphasized the need for urgent reforms in loyalty, structure, and political management in preparation for the 2027 elections.

Omobamidele remarked that the results should prompt sober reflection and strategic corrections rather than lamentation. He asserted that elections are won long before election day through loyalty and structure, and criticized the sidelining of dedicated party members during opportunities.

He highlighted that political office should be viewed as a responsibility rather than a reward for ambition. Omobamidele warned against political exclusion, stating that a party that does not reward its builders risks losing its foundation.

He concluded that the lessons from the Osun election must lead to reforms to strengthen unity and restore confidence in the APC.
