APC's Yilwatda Calls Osun Election a Rehearsal for 2027

Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced that the party views the upcoming governorship election in Osun State as a critical rehearsal for the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Tuesday in Abuja during the inauguration of the APC's 291 National Campaign Council members for the Osun Governorship Election scheduled for August 15, 2026, Yilwatda asserted that winning this election is essential for the APC.

He described the election as a litmus test for the party's preparedness for future elections, stating that the APC will mobilize resources and conduct intensive grassroots campaigns. Yilwatda highlighted the importance of engaging with all demographics in Osun, ensuring representation from various tribes and languages.

Hope Uzodimma, the Chairman of the Campaign Council, pledged to listen to the people of Osun and promote the party's governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, emphasizing his competence and vision for inclusive governance.
