Tinubu Launches N216bn Road Projects in Osun State

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu officially launched the construction of the Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road and the reconstruction of the Gbongan-Osogbo Road in Osun State, representing a significant investment of N216 billion. The ceremony took place in Osogbo, with Tinubu represented by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The Gbongan-Osogbo Road project, approximately 44km long, will upgrade a failed single carriageway to a dual carriageway and reconstruct sections already dualized but in poor condition. The contract, awarded to Messrs Trucrete Solutions Limited, amounts to N101,806,515,825.09 with a completion timeline of 24 months.

The Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan Road, spanning about 82km, will also undergo significant improvements, with a contract value of N114,854,477,607.93 awarded to Messrs Peculiar Concerns Limited, also set for completion in 24 months. Tinubu emphasized the importance of quality work and community benefits from these projects.
