Oyo Monarch Applauds Tinubu for N265bn Road Project

Oba Sefiu Oyebola, the paramount ruler of Iseyinland in Oyo State, commended President Bola Tinubu for the Federal Government's approval of a N265 billion road construction project linking Iseyin, Ipapo, and Ibaruba. This project is seen as a historic turning point that will unlock economic prosperity in the Ok Ogun region, which comprises ten local government areas.

The monarch emphasized that the road will alleviate transport hardships, stimulate trade, and enhance agricultural investment in an area known as Nigeria's food basket, producing cocoa, cashew, maize, and cassava. He urged the Federal Ministry of Works and the contracting firm to prioritize quality and local content during execution.

The project is part of a broader initiative, with Tinubu approving 27 road projects valued at N3.9 trillion across 15 states to improve national infrastructure. David Umahi, the Minister of Works, disclosed this during a briefing following a Federal Executive Council meeting.
