NDC's Ladipo Johnson: Osun Election Signals Change

Ladipo Johnson, a representative of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that the party's chances in the upcoming elections are promising due to the socio-economic challenges facing Nigerians. He criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for its economic policies, which he claims have diminished purchasing power and increased insecurity.

Johnson highlighted the NDC's organizational strength, with Peter Obi as the presidential candidate and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate, presenting a credible alternative to voters. He referred to the August 15 election in Osun State, where Governor Ademola Adeleke won decisively against the APC candidate, as a sign that voters are willing to reject intimidation.

Johnson noted that the NDC is well-positioned to form a coalition on election day, emphasizing that the recent political dynamics indicate that the ruling party can be defeated even in its strongholds, such as Lagos State.
