Osun Guber Campaign: APC, Imol Council Accuse Each Other

The political atmosphere in Osun State is heating up as the APC governorship campaign council and the Imol Campaign Council have exchanged accusations regarding the alleged killings of their members. The APC has called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure the arrest of suspects connected to these killings, specifically mentioning individuals such as Olalekan Oyeyemi and Nurudeen Wakili.

The APC's statement, signed by its media committee head, Oluremi Omowaiye, expressed confidence in the police's commitment to justice and urged a thorough investigation into unresolved murder cases involving APC members from 2022. The Imol Campaign Council has also expressed concern over the police's handling of security in Osun State and has called for the redeployment of the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, to restore public trust.

Both councils have urged their members to maintain peace and cooperate with security agencies as the August 15 governorship elections approach.
