IMOL Campaign Council Demands Action on Attack Suspects

The IMOL Campaign Council has called on the Osun State Police Command, led by Ibrahim Gotan, to charge individuals suspected of attacking their campaign director, Hon. Wole Ok. During a press conference in Osogbo, spokesperson Pelumi Olajengbesi described the narrative surrounding the incident as false and suggested it was an assassination attempt.

Olajengbesi demanded the police release unedited confession statements obtained from the suspects, arguing that the public deserves to know the truth rather than a selectively presented narrative. He raised concerns about the integrity of the police investigation, alleging that it contradicts public claims made during the suspects' parade.

The council believes that the Osun State Police Commission may be politically motivated in their actions, potentially undermining public confidence in law enforcement. They have called for Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, to intervene and ensure an independent review of the investigation, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency.
