Ooni Ogunwusi Advocates Peaceful Campaigns in Osun

Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi called for peaceful campaigns and credible elections in Osun ahead of the gubernatorial election scheduled for August 15. Speaking at his palace in Ife, he received Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election campaign team, led by campaign council chairman and former PDP national secretary, Professor Wale Oladipo.

Ooni Ogunwusi appealed to politicians to shun violence, warning that the world is watching Osun and urging them to embrace peace and love. He stressed that Osun is larger than any political party and cautioned against hate speech and actions that could destabilize the state.

Earlier, campaign director general Senator Lere Oyewumi visited to seek the Ooni's royal blessing for Adeleke's re-election drive. Oyewumi assured that if Adeleke is re-elected, he will not disappoint the people, citing the governor's performance in infrastructure as a reason for seeking a second term.

The campaign team included Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi and other notable party members.
