APC Condemns Victimization of Osun LG Workers by Adeleke

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has issued a warning to the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke regarding the alleged victimization of local government workers based on their political affiliations. In a statement signed by Kola Olabisi, the party's Director of Media and Information, it was claimed that the state government is subjecting certain council employees to investigations and disciplinary proceedings due to their alleged support for the APC during the August 15, 2026, governorship election.

The APC stated that a committee, chaired by Tunji Adeleke Jnr, the governor's nephew and chairman of the Osun State Local Government Service Commission, has been formed to investigate workers suspected of supporting the opposition. The party reported that some local government workers have already been summoned before an investigative panel at the Osun State Secretariat in Abere, Osogbo, where they were questioned about their political activities.

Concerns were raised over the alleged examination of workers' mobile phones, with some reportedly directed to submit their phones for scrutiny regarding communications linked to APC members and supporters. The APC condemned these actions as inhumane and unconstitutional.
