NURTW Boss Denies Assassination Plot Against Adeleke's Son

Kazeem Oyewal, the chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State, has denied allegations of a plot to kill Adebayo Adeleke’s son, commonly known as B Red. In a statement released by Osun State Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, it was claimed that B Red escaped an assassination attempt linked to Oyewal, who is also known as Asiri Eniba.

Oyewal responded during an interview in Osogbo, asserting that he would seek legal redress against the state government for making false allegations. He called on President Bola Tinubu and Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu to provide protection against further harassment from government officials.

Oyewal also mentioned that the allegations included threats against his younger brother and questioned the logic behind the claims, emphasizing that he has no knowledge of any such plots. He expressed concern over the potential for indiscriminate arrests of NURTW members, referencing events from 2022.
