Osun Police Parade 24 Suspects for Cultism and Thuggery

On Monday, the Osun State Police Command paraded 24 suspects for alleged involvement in cultism and political thuggery. The parade took place at the police headquarters in Osogbo, where the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, disclosed the arrests.

Among the suspects, Kareem Sahe, also known as Tanfiani, is linked to the death of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade, who was shot in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area on June 21, 2026. Governor Ademola Adeleke commended the Inspector General of Police and the state police command for their efforts in apprehending the suspects.

The police warned individuals, including cultists and political thugs, to desist from activities that could disrupt public peace and order, stating that they would face prosecution to the full extent of the law. The suspects included individuals with various aliases and ages ranging from 23 to 46 years.
