G-100 Urges Opposition to Follow Adeleke's Victory Model

The G-100, a political pressure group, has called on opposition parties to emulate Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election strategy in Osun State as a blueprint for the 2027 general elections. In a statement released on Sunday by Salihu Lukman, the group congratulated Adeleke and the people of Osun for their determination during the governorship election.

The G-100 emphasized that the election's significance extends beyond Adeleke’s victory, showcasing what opposition parties can achieve through unity. The group identified fragmentation among political parties and leaders as the primary weakness of the opposition, asserting that the opposition does not lack popular support but rather suffers from divisions.

The G-100 praised the political maturity of opposition candidates in Osun who set aside personal ambitions to support Adeleke, framing their actions as prioritizing the democratic interest over individual goals. The organization urged opposition leaders to adopt a similar approach at the national level, stressing that Nigeria's political future should take precedence over personal ambitions.
